Parish Clerk and Responsible Finance Officer

The Clerk of the Parish Council will be responsible for the administration of the Parish Council’s business, including acting as line manager to the Parish Webmaster. The responsibilities are as follows:

• To act as Proper Officer and Responsible Financial Officer for Buckland Brewer Parish Council
• To act as the Council’s committee secretary
• To purchase goods and services on behalf of the Council
• To liaise with other organisations and local government bodies
• To manage the day-to-day business of the Parish Council, its staff and contractors
• To manage the Council’s IT systems and to supervise the day-to-day activities of the Parish Webmaster, taking personal responsibility for the content on the Parish Council’s pages on the community website
• To actively manage the Council’s land and other assets to optimize revenue and value to the community
• To manage projects that deliver the objectives of the Parish Plan and budgets
