Parish Clerk/Responsible Financial Officer

Inwardleigh Parish Council has a vacancy for a part-time Clerk/Responsible Finance Officer.

We are a small Parish Council with 7 councillors. We meet 6 times a year, usually at 8pm on the 3rd Wednesday of alternate months in Folly Gate Parish Hall and also the AGM in May every year.

Hours vary, but average out to 12 hours per month, including paid leave. Salary is paid at LC1 SCP5 (£10.21 per hour), plus expenses. You will be supplied with a computer and printer to use for the job.

The successful candidate will be an organised individual who can work independently, mainly from home, and attend bi-monthly council meetings.

The role requires:
• Relevant skills for agenda setting and recording of minutes
• Good administration skills and accurate record keeping
• Computer literacy including proficiency in Word and Excel
• Preparation and monitoring of budgets and managing the Council’s assets and finances.
