Broadclyst Parish Council is looking for a dynamic individual to join our staff team!

Broadclyst Parish Council is looking to support residents with a range of community-based options to individuals, helping them to access services maintain health and wellbeing, and to contribute to a reduction in the need for statutory care services now and into the future.

Working with local groups such as the GP surgery and Clyst Caring Friends to meet referrals and talk with them about their life, interests and the barriers they face.  It is the Community Connector’s role to understand what matters to a person and then to work alongside them to build on their interests and to help them find out what’s out there that can help them and that might enrich their life.  For example, it might be about introducing people to social or exercise groups or activities or about helping people to access information, services and advice.

Working as part of the parish team, the Community Builder element of the role will assist the lead volunteers in the delivery of a year- round food provision service for vulnerable households in the local community and assist in further developing and sustaining food provision partnerships.

The hours are circa 24 hours per week, to be agreed as part of the recruitment process.

The  salary – £26,873 FTE pro rata (NALC Pay Scale point 13)

The post is for a fixed term until 31.03.2026, with possible extension subject to budget approval.
