Vacancy: Policy Officer, Devon Association of Local Councils
Starting Salary: SCP 18 – 23 (£24,982 – £27,741 FTE) pro rata
Hours: 14 hours per week
Term: 2-year contract initially, with scope to be extended.
Appointment: as soon as practicably possible
The Devon Association of Local Councils (DALC) seeks an enthusiastic individual who will support the development and delivery of its policy work. The role provides an opportunity to shape DALC policy, raise the profile of local councils, and influence local and national decision making, by working with a wide range of colleagues in the parish and town council sector and from across local government.
The post holder must have understanding of the local government sector and previous experience of developing and monitoring policy matters, and be able to communicate policy positions to diverse audiences.
